TURN BACK TIME WITH MICRONEEDLING

IMPROVE  FINE LINES AND WRINKLES. DIMINISH ACNE SCARS, PIGMENTATION ISSUES, SCARS & STRETCH MARKS

 HOW DOES IT WORK?

Microneedling also known as collagen induction therapy is an innovative, nonsurgical treatment that uses a device that creates hundreds of microscopic channels on the surface of the skin which prompts the skin to stimulate the body's natural wound healing process. This results in cell turnover, increased collagen and elastin production, therefore, reversing as well as preventing signs of aging.

 WHAT IT TARGETS

The primary appeal of microneedling is its ability to stimulate the growth of collagen and elastin which is the key to youthful-looking skin. With its ability to trigger the generation of new skin cells, a few sessions will noticeably reduce deep wrinkles, acne scars, pigmentation issues, scars from trauma or incisions, crow's feet and fine lines.

WHO WOULD BE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE?

Unlike lasers, IPL or chemical peels, micro-needling can be used on ALL SKIN TYPES  without fear of hypopigmentation, hyperpigmentation or burning.

It may not be the best option for you if you are pregnant, used Accutane in the past year, have undergone skin radiation in the last 12 months or if you are prone to keloids.

ARE MICRONEEDLING TREATMENTS PAINFUL?

Most patients are very comfortable during the treatment and feel minimal pain.  We apply a topical numbing cream to the face and neck 30-45 minutes prior to treatment to limit discomfort, but you may still feel some pressure and tingling. Afterward, the skin may feel sore, but no worse than a mild sunburn.

WHAT ABOUT DOWNTIME AND RECOVERY?

The downtime is minimal and you may experience facial redness equivalent to a sunburn for 3-6 days following treatment. You may use a medium coverage makeup to camouflage the redness 24 hours post-treatment. A few days following treatment, your skin will get dry, tight and itchy. Hyaluronic acid, moisturizers, and some antioxidant serums have great properties that assist in healing your skin quicker.

SEE VISIBLE RESULTS!

While each person's skin is different, many patients see results after the first treatment. Also, depending on the severity of your issues, you may not see results until you have received two or three treatments.

Microneedling is cumulative and your skincare professional will work with you to establish a Microneedling treatment plan that addresses your skin's unique needs.

MICRONEEDLING WITH PRP

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) can be added to the session for an additional cost and when paired with micro-needling their true power is unleashed. An attractive component of PRP is its high concentration of growth factors which is said to create amplified benefits and more tightness as the PRP goes to work in the deeper layers of the skin.

The Doctor draws blood in which the sample undergoes a centrifugation process and is immediately

needled back into the skin.
